The district has a vacancy for a 4.25 hours food services helper.

 

GENERAL DUTIES:  

  • Assists in the daily preparation and service of food 

  • Clean equipment and premises 

  • Operate computerized point of sale debit system 

  • This is routine work performed under supervision and may require cooking involving lesser degrees of skill.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

  • Capable of learning and performing Food Service Helper functions 

  • Working knowledge of the proper methods of serving food and care of tableware and use of kitchen equipment 

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions 

  • Ability to interact with students and staff

 

MISCELLANEOUS:

Position is ten-month (school year)

 

SALARY & BENEFITS:

Applicable benefits pursuant to current CSEA Contract.

$16.00/hour
Cook Manager - Moreau

There is a vacancy for a Cook-Manager position at Moreau Elementary School beginning the 2025-26 school year.

 

GENERAL DUTIES:  

Supervision is exercised over the work of Cooks, Assistant Cooks and Food Service Helpers.

  • Supervises and participates in the preparation and serving of food.
  • Supervises the storage and care of foods and supplies.
  • Supervises and participates in cleaning of the kitchen, serving, storage and dining areas, and the care of equipment.
  • Keeps simple records on food and supplies received and used.
  • Keeps employee time records.
  • Plans work schedules.
  • Plans menus with attention to nutritional value, acceptability and budgetary limitation.
  • Determines requirements and submits requisitions for food and supplies.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of large quantity food preparation, menu planning, purchasing, sanitary food handling and storage.
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of nutrition and their application to the health of children.
  • Knowledge of modern cooking utensils, appliances and equipment.
  • Ability to plan and supervise the work of others.
  • Ability to keep records and prepare reports.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and recipes.
  • Ability to interact with students and staff, tact and good judgment.
$18.50/hour
