Job Description

The District has a vacancy for a Teaching Assistant at Moreau Elementary in the 8:1:2 classroom.

 

Reports to Supervising Teacher and Building Principal

Description

Provides instructional services under the supervision of a Teacher/Administrator.  

 

General Responsibilities:

Some examples of position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Works with individual students or groups of students on special instructional projects

2. Provides the teacher with information about students which will assist the teacher in the development of appropriate learning and behavioral experiences

3. Assists students in the use of available instructional resources, and assists in the development of instructional materials

4. Assists in related instructional work as required

5. Utilizes their own special skills and abilities by assisting in instructional programs in such areas as foreign language, art, crafts, music, and similar subjects

6. Assists students with specific health-related activities as appropriate

7. Performs other related duties as assigned

Salary and Benefits:  

• Ten month position, 6.5 Hours per day

• Salary and Benefits pursuant to current CSEA contract
